1. CIVIL & STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER
1.1. Role Overview:
Design, review and analysis of civil
& structural drawings and calculation in Oil & Gas
and Power plant field such as pipe
racks, technological structures, dynamic equipment
foundation, pavement, plant road
layout, drainage system and underground piping
layout.
Co-ordination with site to facilitate
construction activities.
1.2. Responsibilities:
Ø
Demonstrate
use of independent judgment in performing calculations, modifications and
designs and able to present and justify modification to quality and safety reviews.
Ø
Possess
superior technical knowledge of civil and structural discipline and ability to
work on project teams with other engineers to evaluate conditions and develop
design changes which will improve plant performance, safety and reliability.
Ø
Work
on project teams to evaluate conditions and propose modifications to improve
plant performance, safety and reliability.
Ø
Ability
to interface and work with equipment vendors as needed.
Ø
Must
be familiar with codes and standards applicable to the Oil & Gas plant
industry as well as possess working knowledge of relevant regulations.
Ø
Client
skills and understanding of the roles of other disciplines, as well as ability
to coordinate and interface with other disciplines is a must.
Ø
Managing
budget, scope, schedule and quality associated with the designated work
assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight and able to establish
own work priorities.
1.3. Basic Qualifications:
Ø
Minimum
Bachelor Degree in Civil(Structural) engineering from an accredited university.
Ø
Minimum
7 years experience in Plant Design Project (Oil and Gas, Petrochem, Refinery or
Power plant Project).
Ø
Hand
calculations and state-of-the-art computer tools such as STADD will be used to
perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures,
foundations, concrete slabs, structural steel.
Ø
Familiarity
with BS, ACI and IBC codes is required.
Ø
Computer
proficiency in CAD, Micro-software programs(Excel, Word etc.) is highly desired.
Ø
Experience
with concrete and soils.
Ø
Experience
with feasibility studies, equipment reliability issues and upgrades to improve
safety and reliability.
Ø
Experience
in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data prepared by other
engineers is required.
Ø
Understanding
and complying with company policies, procedures and processes.
Ø
With
good command in English both oral and written.
Ø Must have or can
obtain the right to live and work in the Nigeria.
2. ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
2.1. Role
Overview:
Design and Engineering for Electrical
system such as HV,
LV switchgear,
Transformer, Diesel generator,
calculation such as short circuit current using software(PTW), cable allowable
current, voltage drop and so on,
Purchase supports for EPC Project including Technical bid evaluation &
Vendor print checking.
Establishes milestones for the total project and supports development of electrical
standards and
procedures.
2.2. Job
Duty (Key Skills):
Ø
The
candidate will be a self starter with a high level of energy and motivation and
be proficient in databases, spreadsheets, word processing, technical bid
evaluation, vendor print checking, drawings and bill of Materials,
AutoCad and power point software. As a
lead electrical engineer, the incumbent will require excellent oral and written
communication skills, be capable of analyzing engineering designs, interfacing
with both internal management and customer representatives.
Ø
Working
knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction work processes within
the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical business or Power Plant is essential as well as
analytical skills in identifying and solving telecommunication problems.
Ø
Candidate
is expected to possess relevant experience in international Oil, Gas, Petrochemical
or Power Plant.
2.3. Basic

3. PIPING DESIGN ENGINEER
3.1. Role Overview:
Supervise drawing development
activities for EPC Projects. Work closely with the Lead Engineer, Procurement
and interdisciplinary Engineering team to perform different duties. Support the
development of Piping Specifications and other deliverables.
3.2. Job Dimensions:
Ø Develops
and supervises piping/pipeline activities.
Ø Supervise
the review and verification of FEED document.
Ø Supervise
the Development, modification and issue of piping layout drawings, isometrics
and General Arrangement drawings.
Ø Review
piping design studies and calculations,
Ø Supervise
the Preparation of information for Purchasing and Manufacturing Equipment and
Material,
Ø Supervise
the checking of Vendor’s Drawings, data sheets and other relevant information,
Ø Carry
out technical review and evaluation of bids for all piping and pipeline
equipments,
Ø Expedite
Vendor data and resolve Vendor queries,
Ø Review
the Preparation of Engineering and Construction specifications, drawings and
other necessary documents.
Ø Supervise
the development of complete MTO for all the materials
Ø Correspondence
with client and sub-contractor (transmittals, letters, phone calls etc),
Ø Review
documents and make recommendations to lead Engineer
3.3. Basic Qualifications:
Ø Bachelor
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Piping engineering.
Ø Minimum
10 years engineering experience in home office and/or field capacity for a
major EPC firm.
Ø Excellent
working knowledge of AutoCAD, PDMS, and Caesar II software on large projects.
Ø Skilled
in oral and written communication, with a demonstrated ability to present
information to management and clients.
Ø Demonstrated
skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems. Knowledgeable about
current industry and technical developments.
Ø Advanced
level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and
startup work processes.
Ø Knowledge
of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time
through specialized instruction or practical experience.

4. MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
4.1. Role
Overview:
Carries
mechanical engineering for Brown Field or Green Field of an EPC Project from
bidding stage and take them through to the final stage of detailed design of materials
handling, equipment sizing and equipment designing and product reliability
test. Develops project specifications on the basis of mechanical engineering
practices as well as client’s requirements. Supports equipment installation and
commissioning activities occurred at project site. Explain how to solve complex
problems to other team members and clients. Perform mechanical engineering in line
with project management. Train up other mechanical junior engineers.
4.2. Job
Duty (Key Skills):
Ø
The

spreadsheets, word processing and power point software.
Ø
The
candidate will read and interpret FEED documents and apply the results of
analyses and modeling in order to bring about continuous improvement. He must
possess ability to pin-point any variation from the FEED to client and clarify.

The candidate will require excellent oral and
written communication skills, be capable of leading and guiding a planning and
scheduling team and interfacing with both internal management and customer
representatives.

Read
and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and
computer-generated reports.
Ø
To
co-ordinate the activities of the sub-vendors to ensure compliance by all
parties with the referenced design codes, specifications and standards and to
ensure that the QA requirements of certifying authorities as requested by authorized
inspectors and representatives are implemented.

4.3. Basic
Qualifications:
Ø Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
combination of experience and coursework.
Ø Five (5) years industry experience in
engineering field, preferably dealing in the design of modifications to mechanical
design.
Ø Minimum appreciable years of
experience with demonstrable proficiency.
Ø Must possess some knowledge of mechanical
regulations, certification processes and related requirements.
Ø Must possess knowledge of standard mechanical
components, materials, fabrication practices, and proper application in design.
Ø Must possess knowledge of Mechanical
engineering principles used in stress analysis, finite element modeling (FEM).
Ø Must possess knowledge and skill of
Mathematical modeling and Computer Aided Design.
Ø Must possess extensive knowledge of
personal computer systems with Microsoft Officeware, AutoCAD, etc.
Ø Experience and demonstrated skill in
directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development,
control, and analysis. Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing
criteria for project planning and scheduling activities.
Ø Must have knowledge of reading and
interpreting of Mechanical technical data such as engineering drawings, GAD’s,
P & ID, Datasheets, etc.
Ø Must possess good oral, written, and
organizational skills, and be able to read, write, speak and understand the
English language.
5. PROCESS DESIGN ENGINEER
5.1.
Role Overview:
The suitable candidate will be capable of carrying out detailed
engineering in oil and gas related project from the inception of the project to
giving support up to commissioning and start-up. The candidate will prepare
corrosion deliverables and undertake material selection report for the corrosion.
He will carry out all design simulations necessary to execute the detail design
of projects. The candidate will participate and make input to HAZOP, HAZID and
SIL review.

1. Role Overview:

standards and procedures.
